October Book Club Post
Hey folks,
So I'm still not making huge progress on the reading front--I've been distracted by a lot of podcasts, and I'm really enjoying 99% Invisible, which is about design and material history, and Terrible Lizards, which is about dinosaurs. (Terrible Lizards includes some British-style self-deprecating humor that includes body shaming, so if that's triggery for you you might want to skip it.)
In actual books, I read Val McDermid's Still Life, which is one of the Karen Pirie novels. Enjoyed, not a life-changing experience. You can't exactly call McDermid "comfort food" but I did enjoy the juxtaposition of cold and current cases in this one.
