So I got my first dose of Covid-19 vaccine on Friday, through CVS, which has a much more manageable website than the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. I became eligible on the 18th locally, and after days of trying to sign up managed to get through on Thursday and grabbed the only available appointment--which happened to be the next day.
I also managed to get an appointment for my mom, after her attempts proved frustrating.
The shot was fine--significantly less painful than a flu shot (there's no burning sensation, I presume because there's no virus in the shot, just software.) My arm is still a little stiff and sore. I expect the second one to be a lot worse.
So now I'm having to think about The After Times, and probably getting a booster to protect against the various variants that are floating around, and I'd realized I need to schedule a tetanus booster too. Whee.
