I finished the book.

You might have seen on twitter or instagram, but here’s the news: the very overdue THE ORIGIN OF STORMS is finished and sent to my editor.

Now I get a couple of days to read the book I am supposed to be writing an introduction for, and then I write a short story, and then I write The Folded Sky.

Excelsior.

I’m actually feeling better about my ability to be creative than I have in a while. The Lotus Kingdoms we conceived in 2015, the year I started writing them, and—well—the world is a really different place than it was, and we’ve all been through a lot since then personally and politically.

I think it came out well, though.
