Hot take

So my facile hot take on the first episode of Foundation is that they took the Good Parts version of Foundation and grafted in a whole lot of cool bits from Ann Leckie, Max Gladstone, Kim Stanley Robinson, and Arkady Martine, with a soupçon of Dune.

I liked it. And Hari Seldon’s suit is smoking.
