Horse stories

So, given my general state of discomfort for the past two weeks, I have not been riding. However, I have been out to visit the boys, and done two lessons on groundwork and bodywork with our trainer, which were equal parts interesting and way outside of my skill level. :D

Ormr thinks it's very weird to be asked to stand still and pay attention and relax without any other requests being made of him. He's not a Zen kind of horse.

Alex and I had a grand old time last Sunday morning getting the boys to jump crossrails and do a little canter and trot free-lunge in the arena. And I got some lovely photos of them for your enjoyment. So without further ado, horses.

Tomorrow, I'm hoping that with an aggressive enough sports bra, I can manage a little trail ride. It's absolutely the best season for it and I want to get out and enjoy the leaves and autumn cool before radiation or chemo eats all my energy and time.
