Hey, folks,

So as those of you who have been around for a while know, one of my hobbies is watching cooking videos on youtube. I’m kind of picky about it, though, and I’ve finally got the mathematical thingy named after that guy from Khiva sorted out so it doesn’t give me those fucking life hacks videos that will set your house on fire.

Anyway, another one of my hobbies is collecting the picayune things that certain people in various hobbies and professions take absolutist stances on and wage holy wars about. Knitting Vs. Crochet, for example, or Whether 1st Person Is Evil. (Stuff that basically winds up coming down to technique and fashion, in a sane world.)

My latest fascination on that front is Rice Discourse.
