Giro d'Arte this weekend and two new episodes
Giro d'Arte and two new episodes out now
Materially Speaking has now passed five years of producing podcasts, and to celebrate we wanted to plan something special.
A chance conversation in the piazza has grown into an exciting event entitled Giro d’Arte over this coming weekend – Saturday 24th May and Sunday 25th May – in Pietrasanta, Italy.
Event details for Giro d'Arte 24-25 May 2025
Although Pietrasanta is known as the città d’arte, visitors rarely get the opportunity to meet real artists in their places of work. We thought it would be fun to arrange for people to meet the artists behind the voices who feature in so many of our podcasts.
We suggested they choose just a two or three hour slot to open, so we have a rolling marathon of studios opening and closing all weekend.. More than 35 artists in 20 studios will be opening.
If you are in Northern Italy please check out the below schedule and map and we’ll see you there.
For those of you who are based elsewhere we hope you will enjoy our two new episodes. Released this week, they are Maja Thommen and, our first episode in Italian, Ursula Corsi.
Episode 63 – Maja Thommen: Spiral
Episode 64 – Ursula Corsi: Mosaici
