March in the Studio. A Save the Date and a Road Trip, too.
Looking Ahead |

Save the dateI'm planning a grand opening celebration for my new studio & gallery and YOU'RE INVITED! It will be Saturday, April 27th, 4-8pm. Plans are currently being made and include: a raffle drawing, refreshments, door prizes, new art and pillows, and even a batch of exclusive needle-felted turtles! There will be more details as the date gets closer. Follow along on the Facebook Event. |

Woodlands Waterway Art Festival |
I'm busy making art for my spring art fairs! First up will be the Woodlands Waterway Art Festival in Texas. I've never been to Texas, but my husband and I recently purchased a cute little, used camper that we're excited to get some use out of - so a road trip is in order! Our youngest will be coming along. (Maybe we'll get some family bonding out of the trip as well?) My spring and summer events are starting to round out. I keep an up-to-date list of my events here. |
In the Studio |

My custom-built "wing" walls were installed this week! They hide my storage nicely and will provide additional space for hanging art, after they receive a coat of paint. |
And perhaps the weirdest thing that happened this month: This Facebook post about my new-to-me blue chair went slightly viral. I can't explain it. 225k views and counting. |
...Conflicting thoughts have been swirling around in my head about my grand opening: "I should have a big party and invite everyone!" And then later: "No, I shouldn't make it into a big deal." Then: "I'd like a party, but what if no one comes?" And then: "What if too many people come?" Hah! Anxieties can be so silly. In my heart, I want a big event. And so, I've decided to move forward with that and hope for the best! Cheers to new beginnings! Yours truly, Mary |
