I've moved! and other new things
New Studio |
---|
Right before Christmas, I learned of some newly retrofitted creative work spaces in the historic Thorp Building (next door to the Northrup King Building). It's always been my dream to have a space of my very own, so I jumped at the chance to go and tour the new spaces. The spaces were so beautiful and checked just about every box of what I had always wanted in an art studio: big windows, north light, lots of character, historic building, high ceilings. I could really see myself there, creating big, bold new works. |
I decided to take the leap - and I started moving into my new space about two weeks ago. It's been a slow move in process, interrupted by a bout of illness and a few other mishaps, but eventually I'll be all settled. And once everything is ready, there will be an Open Studio Celebration and you'll be invited! |
New Work |
---|
I've recently finished a few Pastel Paintings that I'd like to share with you. The first is a winter sunset scene of Lake Nokomis, which is available now. The second two are additions to my ongoing In the Hive - Bee Series and will be available this spring as part of a planned Bee Exhibition during Art-a-Whirl® at my new space. |

I've just released "Midwinter Meditation" as a Limited Edition Fine Art Print. You're the first to know!

Thoughts and Musings |

I have a new (well, I wrote it last year, but only just hit 'publish') blog post. Give it a read if you enjoy that sort of thing. It's called Out of Book and it's about life and chess and the new and unknown. |
I love hearing from you! In fact, I've been getting such wonderful client photos recently and they always make me smile - thank you! 💞 Please let me know if there are any artworks you'd like to see in person. Art always looks so much better in person and I welcome anyone to come and view my work, regardless if you plan to purchase.Get in touch via my contact form or email me at mary@marypow.com.
