Introducing the new Scratch.
martinesque
by manjula martin
dear you,
a newsletter is a letter, isn’t it? i feel like i often forget about that part of the compound. well, up with the epistolary, i say! maybe this is the year i finally get into fountain pens. but first, some news:
this time, it’s a newsletter.
and this time, i brought friends.

that’s it. that’s the news. like & subscribe, tell your weird writer friends, socially mediate the heck out of that cute lil’ notepad!
and remember, now, more than ever:

oh, also, the magnolia bloomed!

the weather is lovely, wish you were here.
xo,
-m.
PS - if you subscribe to this newsletter (“martinesque”) you will not automatically receive Scratch. you gotta opt in, babes.
PPS - if you subscribed or contributed to (prior) Scratch(es) or Who Pays Writers, you might get some version of this announcement message more than once. that’s not a glitch; that’s a couple decades of intertwined personal and professional relationship, across multiple (like, sooo many) technologies and platforms and defunct mediums and methods of communique both passive and active. and maybe also a little bit of me refusing, for reasons of artistic integrity and brain chemistry, to cultivate more than the most basic of spreadsheet skills. i’m not even sorry. i’m just glad we still know each other.
