The EU Cohesion Policy, plus Dublin's tragic story with typhoid
The EU data & the viz
I’ve just published a new blog (and a new card, see below) about the funds that the EU invests in each regions for growth and levelling-up, part of its “Cohesion Policy”. I am participating to a project aimed at raising awareness of them - more on this on my blog.

Again, if you want to read more about the details, head to my blog.
Discovering typhoid, bioweapons and history
This new project has taken most of my vizzing free time in June, but I’ve also been to Dublin (for work, then stayed for the weekend) and an utterly wonderful thing happened: I was gayly wandering in the centre heading to the National Gallery of Ireland on the Sunday before my flight when I’ve seen a signpost advertising a free exhibit at the Royal College of Physicians, about how Typhoid afflicted the city.
Always interested to learn things, I headed in, and I got an amazing deal: a free talk by two researchers (on top of the exhibit itself), because at that time I was the only person around! It’s been great, and there is online material, including a portal with an online exhibition itself - full of info and not just about typhoid, it goes into the story of the use of bioweapons and how it influenced e.g. a strand of literature (I didn’t know). Once I’ll find time to explore all the material I will write some more on it.
