Low emission bus fleets in Europe
Dear subscribers,
hope you’re enjoying the late spring - it’s torrentially rainy here in Edinburgh (with moderate flooding events too) with few opportunities to be out, though I managed to chase the sun for a couple of hours yesterday and it was magic.
These weeks I’m working on a project that will produce new data cards, but for now I don’t have anything new, so I thought I’d share one I did some time ago. It’s about public transport and low emissions across Europe - I don’t think it has been part of the newsletter yet. The data is probably a bit outdated, but I’m pretty sure the relative figures remain.
The card is below, and the whole storytelling here.

Hope you like it. Finding consistent and reliable data for these sorts of things is harder than you’d imagine as every country has its own agencies and ways to report. Let me know if I missed anything or you know of good sources.
Thanks Martina - wonder how low emission buses are progressing in China given all the hype around EVs there?
Thanks Kenny, sorry just seeing this now, I'm not too familiar with the Buttondown comment features. Do you know of any datasets about China? This was really hard to find data for!
