Italian food - ingredients in data

This post is about food. I've done a new data card - it took me a while between finding the data and displaying it, but the good thing is I have done a second data card at the same time! - it's about ingredients from main dishes in Italian cuisine so this may challenge your view that Carbonara and Bolognese are really representative examples (they're not, they're dishes from specific regions, well known but not that used everywhere!).

Here's the card and below, link to the post if you want to read more about this on my blog: how I made it, what's the data behind, etc. I am trying this new idea of sharing the card only via email and linking you to the blog for the storytelling :)

Hand-drawn treemap of ingredients from Italian main dishes, each group has one colour and sub-groups are shown too. It shows that pasta and grains are really popular, but also veggies are very well used.
Categories of Italian main dishes ingredients, in a treemap. The nesting shows subgroups, each group has its own, representative (?) colour.

Here's the blog for the storytelling! As always, let me know what you think.
