Internship and Graduate Opportunities in Consulting:
The Marshall Society is excited to announce that Teneo is our bronze sponsor this year. Teneo is a global CEO advisory firm that offers a range of services including financial advisory, management consulting and risk advisory. Teneo is offering a range of internship and graduate opportunities for students at Cambridge.
On-Campus Interview Opportunity + Applications
This year, Teneo will be running a series of ‘early-bird’ on-campus interviews, offering candidates an opportunity to begin our recruitment journey in Cambridge on the 3rd November. Similar to the standard graduate first-round process, the on-campus interviews with Teneo will consist of a 30-minute, market-sizing-style case study.
Due to capacity constraints, we only have limited slots available and will be closing these once all slots are taken. However, for anyone still wishing to meet us, our regular online application process will remain open until November 6th.

Events
Teneo is also hosting an event in Cambridge on the 11th of October. The event is called “How to successfully apply for a job in Management Consulting” with the sign-up sheet posted on Handshake (event sign-up link). The description of the event is as follows:
Please join a panel of Teneo consultants for an Ask Me Anything session to help prepare for a new career in consulting. Rather than the standard lectures on case interview preparation and generalist talks on consulting, this session will help you actually understand what your first few years in consulting might look like. We will solicit questions in advance, as well as during the session, to ensure it's as valuable as possible for all attendees. Topics covered are likely to include:
A day in the life of an Associate (e.g., what you will actually DO)
Where junior consultants typically struggle, and how to avoid it
What distinguishes the good from the great at junior levels
Strategies for building grit and managing the consulting workload
Understanding the differences between consulting firms (e.g., Big 4 vs. boutique and specialist)
Cornerstone Research Summer and Full-Time Analyst Opportunities:
Cornerstone Research is a leading economic and financial consulting firm specializing in the analysis of complex economic, financial, accounting, and marketing issues that arise in the context of various kinds of litigation.
For example, they may be asked to predict the effect of a merger of two major high-tech firms on prices and innovation, to determine the effect of unfavorable drug test results on the stock price of a leading pharmaceutical company, or to value a patent on smartphone technology that might have been infringed.
They are recruiting for our full-time Analyst role (open to students in their final year of university or completing their Masters with an expected graduation date of December 2023 – July 2024) and our Summer Analyst program (open to students in their penultimate year of university with an expected graduation date of December 2024 – June 2025). The following is a quick introduction to their firm and culture:
Cornerstone recruits students from all majors; we find that our most successful analysts have a demonstrated interest in research and a desire to learn complex economic and financial concepts.
Cornerstone works across industries including antitrust, healthcare, finance, intellectual property, and securities and has a generalist model that provides analysts with opportunities across sectors.
Cornerstone maintains a positive work-life balance, supporting our diverse staff, with a strong analyst culture.
The Dismal Scientist:
Our flagship student publication for the year: The Dismal Scientist has just been published!
Have a read for some of the best student work from the last year.
If you're interested in getting involved in work like this then keep an eye out for the opening of our research analyst position happening soon!
