The Marshall Society is delighted to announce our first speaker of the academic year.
Professor Guy Standing is a Professor of Development Studies at SOAS and is a co-founder of the Basic Income Earth Network. Professor Standing's work is focused on labour and development economics. He is most well known for his work in developing the Theory of the Precariat and for his advocacy for a Universal Basic Income. We are excited to host Professor Standing and look forward to seeing you there for a discussion on Basic Income and the Cost of Living Crisis. There will also be a book sale with Professor Standing following the event where you can buy his latest works, including 'The Precariat - The New Dangerous Class' and his most recent 'The Blue Commons: Rescuing the Economy of the Sea'.
The event is only open to paying Marshall Society members. You can become one by depositing £25 to treasurer@marshallsociety.com via PayPal with your CRSID in the description.
