I am so thankful

For my upcoming cartoon, I hired people to do the things I can’t do.

Despite the world we live in today, I could never imagine replacing them with AI; the AI would be really bad, and the people I found were incredibly talented. But even if hypothetically we had generative AI that could do “better”, it could never replace the human connection I made with the people I met on this project.

Being able to self-fund this project, I’m in a period of my life where God has allowed me to be the one to bless people (with moneyyyyyy yeahhhhh$$$), but I will say I got really blessed by all of them too. I’m not much of a people person, so it's been a pleasant surprise that this project has made me want to seek out people and keep in touch. Anyway, I hope I can keep working with this current lineup and add new people for future episodes.

Okay enough of me being sappy, you probably wanted updates, right?

Well, the inbetweens are finished, wooo!!! Animation is in the homestretch, with the next step of the process being clean-up. Now, I expect this to take longer than the inbetweens stage but not as long as the keyframes stage; for those who don’t know, this process is basically just tracing over all my sketches. So basically uhhh…pretty much doing the animation again lolll. I expect though that this will take another month, and at the moment I have already finished the first batch of scenes. Then its coloring and then some effects and post-production and — wow soon it’ll be ready?!

I still don’t have a concrete release date for you, but it’s very strongly looking like sometime in November. Believe it or not, that’s just a little over 2 months left to go (man this year really is almost over). I really wanna make some kind of trailer for this project once I have the release date ready. Then, you’ll finally know what it’s all about.

A screenshot of a Notion database. The data is an animation schedule, detailing the process of each scene in the project. According to the schedule, I just finished the clean-up for 6 scenes, but there are still many more to go. The schedule is so long it's cut off by the screenshot.
yeah this should totally take only a couple of weeks yeah
