Is It Loss or Letting Go?

I hear a lot about loss lately.

I lost my job. (Yeah, I’ve been there too.)

I lost my country.  Let’s make it great again.

I lost my community.  Someone bought it, encroached upon it, didn’t respect it, enshitified it.

Sometimes I find the loss is loss of comfort. Not always.  Sometimes.

But times change.  People change.  Places change.

I’ve found that I have to let go of that to find the new comfort.

Can I be comfortable in a new role?

Can I be comfortable in a new place?

Can I be comfortable with these new people?

Can I get comfortable enough to help others feel comfortable?

These questions are useful to sit with for a while.
