Hi all,

It’s been a little bit quiet from our side the last months. We spent our Christmas break with friends and family, ate and drank maybe a bit too much and ended the year with a bang. But we’re fully back and can’t wait to see what 2026 will bring. We’d love to take you with us on the marion-train.

We want to wish all our fans, friends, family, followers and collaborators a healthy, warm and happy 2026 and thank them for all of their support in 2025.

2025 was marion’s first year on this planet and boy, what a year it was. We want to look back on a year full of music and collaboration. Here’s a few highlights:

Our Debut EP Lotus Island

On the 3rd of January 2025 our debut EP Lotus Island came out. This was marion’s first step into the world. Listen to it here:

Our first shows!

In 2025 we were able to form a band and start rehearsing to perform our music live. We played in multiple venues across Utrecht, had our first international show and went live into the ether on radio Capelle.

It’s a joy to make our music come alive in front of an audience and to do that with people who’ve become friends in the process. We’d like to thank Hidde Oppers, Morris Heilijgers, Tom van Zutphen and Armani van Engelen in specific for their continuous support and for rocking on! We’re so glad to have you guys with us <33.

We also want to thank everyone who went to see us live last year and we hope to see you again at one of our shows in 2026. We’ll keep you posted on upcoming concerts on our social media, but you’ll hear it first in our newsletter.

Our own studio

In September, we signed the lease for a studio space in de Bilt, Utrecht. Now we have our own little, cozy space where we can retreat to write and record our music. We share the building with a hairdresser, bike shop, tattoo artist and more, it’s a lovely bunch.

Since we have our own studio space, we’ve been making good progress on our album, but we’ll tell you more about that below…

We’re working on our debut album!

This might not be news to all our readers, but we’ve been writing and recording a lot the last year. Yesterday we made a final decision on the tracklist for our album. Maybe you’ll recognize a few titles from our live shows or previous newsletters. In order to come to this decision we had to kill some of our darlings, but we’ll put them in the fridge for later use.

We can promise you it’ll sound much different from our first EP, because we’ve been experimenting with our sound a lot. We’re releasing the album in the second half of 2026, stay tuned for the exact date!

Music Video Summer Skin

In October we recorded a music video for our upcoming single “Summer Skin”. We were surrounded by a team of talented and driven people, guiding us through the making of this video.
