A little note from our band to your inbox, every now and then.
Hi all!
It’s been a little bit quiet from our side the last weeks. We spent the summer under the sun to catch our breaths and take plenty of rest for the upcoming marion season. We’ve been working behind the scenes since the beginning of this month on some really exciting projects we can’t wait to share with you! More about that later in this e-mail.
We’ve been selected for Sound Track 2025!
We had to keep it a secret for 2 months, but now we can finally share that we’ve been selected for Sound Track 2025. It’s a Belgian band competition where we’ll get a shot at winning a year of support for marion! Think: studio-time, gigs, our own booker, maybe even a label deal. How exciting!
Our first (and hopefully not our last) Soundtrack show is the preliminary round, which will take place at JH De Moeve in Lier on the 4th of October.
We’ve been working on some new songs during rehearsals, so it’s gonna be a special one. We’d love to see you there!
Sketches of our debut album
We’ve been writing lots the last few months, which has resulted in a hard drive full of demo’s, interludes and sonic sketches. We’re glad to say that we’re gearing up to finish all these tracks and release a debut album in the fall of 2026.
Here is a little snippet of what we’ve been working on:
Music Video
In October we’re recording a music video for our upcoming single. We’re really excited to get the chance to collaborate with new people and experiment with a different medium. We can’t say much more at the moment, but we’re stoked to share it with you once the time is right.
Our latest inspiration
2 weeks ago, Dijon - one of our favorite artists - released his new album called “Baby”. We’ve been listening to it non-stop and have even bought tickets for his upcoming tour. We all have our favorite songs, underneath we’ve each spotlighted our go-to track of the album.
Fien - HIGHER!
This track grooves like a literal motherf*cker. I love walking around with my sunglasses on while listening to this song. The heartfelt lyrics, chopped up piano samples and general bounciness make me love it even more.
Mees - Baby!
Baby! is such a beautiful and touching collage of sounds, the guitar sound, the vocal performance, it couldn’t be more perfect.
Dolf - FIRE!
The roominess of the drums, the glitchiness of the ambience and the contrasting piano. Funnily enough some of the demo’s we made already sound a lot like this, before we even heard it. But this song takes the cake with the over the top production.
