sweater weather + a very green soup

Dear Community,

We’ve just crossed the seasonal threshold, and, despite the waves of heatwave, the term “sweater weather” is making its way back onto the scene for its yearly come up…from the sounds of it people are excited.  I have mixed feelings….but that’s just me in general. ;).  Summer’s hot and fun and intense…Autumn time:  shedding our leaves, letting go of what came before, restoring balance from a summer of heat and motion commotion…

Question:  What does coming into balance/harmony look like for YOU this season?

For me: *Long Story Short*, this past month has given me a clear reminder that I’m currently lacking a *creative outlet*.  Something handsy.  Arts and Craftsy.  So much talky talky feely feely over here...not sure what I’m going to get involved with yet- but it may involve painting things, or hand sewing a quilt…. I’ll report back in the winter…Stay tuned...

For those of you who will benefit from whole-being recalibration / nervous system support as a part of coming into balance, my October calendar is now open for booking soulful craniosacral and cranio + sauna sessions.  I so love being with you in this way, and sharing in healing space together.  (I personally receive the work biweekly for the record, and MAN does that feel GOOD!).  www.calendly.com/yomarimu

In other news: A couple days ago I hosted my first official soup + fire circle, for a wonderful collective of Healers & Therapists…it was too warm for real fire, but candlelight did the trick and it was a beautiful evening.  There will be 1-2 soup + fire circles per month moving forward, I’ll be starting a separate email thread for those interested in fire circles so email me back if you’d like to be on that list.  Circles will be intimate, capped at 8 people including me :).  Time for community to be together in a sweet, quiet and open space…connection…mmmmmm…..

OK! This month’s inspired resources:

My Favorite Cleanse

One way I love to give my digestive system a restorative and gentle *break*, is to take 1-3 days to do a “Liquids/Blendeds Cleanse”… its EASY:  ANYTHING LIQUID/BLENDED!!!  Whatever beverages, smoothies, blended soups....making sure to blend up all the nutrients needed…have as much as you want!  Just keep it blended ;).  The only exception I personally make is sometimes I cut up avocado and eat it in the blended soup- (and other times I blend it right in!).   It’s a really easy cleanse, very “do-able”….and it just feels really supportive to give my system a break from constantly breaking stuff down!  I’m personally feeling a yes to doing a Liquids day once every 2-4 weeks. If you do a liquid/blendeds day, let me know what you think!

An Extremely Healthy Green Soup

A friend turned me onto this recipe, and I used it twice in the past month for Liquid Cleanse days.  Its good warm or cold!  I like to drizzle olive oil on top, fine-chop dill and finish with salt and avocado.  (Last time I made it I omitted the kale, but kept the chard and spinach.  Add whatever herbs! Make it your own!) https://starseedkitchen.com/mighty-vibrant-green-soup/
