Good Morning Everyone ♡
Wow, it’s been exactly 6 months since I wrote a whole email devoted to my practice of getting out on a 12 minute walk-around-the-block FIRST THING upon waking up, before any getting-ready-for-the-day.

Below, you’ll find this morning’s edition. cuz you guys…I’m BACK ON THE WALK SAUCE.
I did it “religiously” for months (is living life fully my religion? somebody direct me to the confessional cuz i’m perfectly imperfect 🎀), and then, as happens, I fell out of the habit.
Let’s go back to the beginning. That is, the moment I wake up in the colder mornings. COZY AF!!! DOES NOT WANT TO GET OUT OF BED!! Feels the cold air on the face!! Is not convinced that “OUT THERE” is better than “IN HERE!”
BUT- I’ve lived enough life outside of the bed to know that it’s in my better interest to git up, git out and get somethin’
So this is a story about having once been an avid wagon rider, who finds later in life that she still remembers, with heroic muscle memory, how to climb back on. “It’s like riding a bike!”
I think this morning was my 5th morning in a row of #THEmorningwalk. Before brushing teeth, before washing face, before putting on on a proper outfit. In fact, I’ve even been rocking the socks and sandals vibe for extra I’m-taking-this-easy points.
This morning I was halfway up the street and was like wow, that was easy.
NEURAL GROOVES are are a real thing, and habits can really help us out.
Last May when I sent out the OG email, I received some great responses from peeps who gave #TheMorningWalk a try.
These responses brought me joy, enthusiasm, and motivation to a.) keep walking b.) keep writing.
So instead of giving you some HOT FRESH NEW CONTENT this morning, I’m hitting you with, essentially, an email I wrote 6 months ago, re-worded a’new.
I’m ABSOLUTELY starting my days feeling more energized and with more vitality. All I have to do is that first step- the dramatic and ceremonial throwing off of the covers.
Happy to be back on the wagon, and if you too have a hard time feeling energized in the morning, I’m holding out my hand and welcoming you to join me.

In other news, I am enthusiastically developing/planning/organizing a SOCIAL MEDIA CLEANSE for the month of January - I’ll be writing about this in coming emails, and welcoming you to join a posse of inspired and creative people taking a month-long break from social media together. It’s going to be cool and I think create a lot of positive impact for those who join. More mental and emotional space, more peace, more focus, more creativity, STUFF LIKE THAT. Stay tuned!!!!
