Tomorrow’s the big day, I’ll be driving up (in the rain, looks like) to San Juan Island to help with the Island marble butterfly conservation project. There’s so much to do plus it’s so early in the day today while I’m writing this to you, so I’m not sure I’m excited yet, but I was yesterday, so it’ll hit soon.

When it rains it pours, and the other preparations happening simultaneously are for my trip to Tahiti (September) and the wedding (next year, thank goodness the timing’s working out for all this to be decently paced).

I think my audience here is either already married or not planning to get married, but wow has a wedding coordinator been absolutely essential to my sanity. I’m still doing all the legwork of contacting vendors, so it’s not full planning (I’m way too type A to relinquish that control), but Ashley meets with me monthly to keep me on track and tell me I’m doing a good job. Important.
