I don’t need to explain AI Fatigue to you. I have a feeling you’re feeling it too. It’s everywhere, it’s exhausting, and some of it may be genuinely useful and effective, but the pressure to use it, the ubiquitousness of the topic, the fact that we keep hand-waving away the environmental and ethical implications. What is to be done?

Config was inspiring, but not in the way they intended, I think. It was pretty overwhelming: the space, the number of people, and for sure, the amount of AI content. AI fatigue was in the air, in the hallway conversations. I wrote a little thing on the virtual jam board, and then I couldn’t stop thinking about it.

So, I checked my grammar with a friend, who explained that my cute little intended pun (I have a tired/AI fatigue), didn’t work without a few extra words.

I recruited/bullied Josh Silverman, my longtime design partner and designer of Good Job, to fix what I’d started, and he did. Et voila!
