Newsletter #4 - WAS Passed, Feedback Tracked, and Mario 3D on the Horizon ๐ŸŽฎ๐Ÿ“ฃ

Hola, friends!

This past month, I took a little break and enjoyed some sunny holidays in Spain! โ˜€๏ธ I found a bit more time to write, but not so much to codeโ€”plus, things have been quite intense at my full-time job. Still, I managed to pull off a couple of exciting thingsโ€ฆ

1. I PASSED the WAS Certification! ๐ŸŽ“ After some good study sessions back in January (post-Christmas brain reboot, anyone?), I finally took the IAAP WAS exam in February. I just got the email last week, and I passed! The exam was tough, not gonna lie, but I learnt a lot by preparing it.

2. Accessibility Issue Tracker is Live! I created a simple tool to let people send feedback or report accessibility bugs across my projects. The magic? It automatically emails me and logs the issue to a Google Sheet via API. You can try it here: ๐Ÿ‘‰ issues.manuelsanchezdev.com

If you want to build something similar, I wrote about it in one of my latest posts!

  • Technical Debt: Examples & Fixes โ€“ Fix your mess. Or mine.

Cool Stuff I Found on the Internet:

  • ๐ŸŽจ Style your scrollbar like itโ€™s 2099: scrollbar.app

  • โœจ Bring your UI to life with animejs.com

  • ๐ŸŽ๏ธ Remember the guy who open-sourced the Mario Kart JS project? Heโ€™s now working on a Mario 3D game. Stay tuned for more pixel-powered adventures.

Thatโ€™s all for now!

Stay awesome,

Manuel
