🥏 Fall 2026 season kickoff
Hi all,
Welcome back to school! Hopefully everyone has had a good break and is ready for a great fall season. It's going to be fun!
📝 Season Signup
Head to madisonultimate.org/signup to get registered, it'll guide your family through the whole process. You need both SPS Final Forms and the team website done, so even if you've already finished Final Forms, you still need to go through signup.
- Try to get this done soon: Madison's athletic coordinator, Valerie, gets slammed at the beginning of the year, and signup (including physical within the last 2 years) needs to be completed before player assessments/tryouts.
- We've already had 70+ kids express interest!
📅 Schedule
- We're hoping to do player assessments/tryouts Thursday and Friday, 9/10 and 9/11. We haven't been able to confirm with the school yet, but that's the hope.
- First practices for the players we're able to take on would be the following week: Tuesday 9/15 and Friday 9/18.
⭐ More coaching help welcome, especially women
Various dads have been raising their hands to help, thank you, and more are still welcome. We do have a real gap in female coaching leadership though. Any women in the community are welcome, you don't need prior experience with the sport.
You can express interest on the signup page, learn more about volunteering here, or always email [email protected].
🏃♀️ Optional: Gx Youth Clinic (9/19)
DiscNW and Seattle Riot are hosting a clinic for middle school Gx players on Saturday, September 19, 9am to noon, at Robert Eagle Staff Middle School. This isn't a Madison event, just something worth knowing about if you're a Gx player. Sliding-scale fee, register by 9/18. Details and signup here. Feel free to use the team WhatsApp group to arrange carpools.
🔗 Learn more about the season
Head to madisonultimate.org. We've tried to document everything we can think of about the season there.
Feel free to pass the website along to other families so they can sign up and learn more too.
There will undoubtedly be more communication as we go, but as long as you're on the team newsletter, you'll see it.
As always, reach out to [email protected] with any questions.
Good times!
