Featured on the Indie Hackers podcast!

Hello πŸ‘‹! Me again. I know it's only been a week since my last correspondence via this mailing list, but I have some exciting news to share with you!

My podcast episode with Indie Hackers just came out today! For those unfamiliar, Indie Hackers is a community that I've been pretty active in since the early days of Lunch MoneyΒ (you can see posts I've made about Lunch Money here). It's primarily an online forum where aspiring and current "indie hackers" can post about their side projects or independent businesses (typically software-as-a-service products) and get help, advice and encouragement from others. The creator, Courtland Allen, also hosts a weekly podcast where he interviews founders from this community who have recently hit certain milestones.

I feel like this is still just the very beginning and I have a long ways to go with Lunch Money, so I'm feeling incredibly humbled and still pinching myself that I had been invited to share my story on this platform.

It's also kinda neat to read about yourself through someone else's words:

Jen Yip (@lunchbag) is the founder of Lunch Money, a budgeting app that's going head-to-head with big names like Mint and YNAB. The catch? She's a solo founder, doing 100% of the work on her own. In this episode, Jen and I cover the wide breadth of experiences and skills she's gained in order to make this possible, her strategies for working hard enough to catch up with competitors but soft enough to avoid burning herself out, and why she's doing this all as a digital "snowmad" who works overseas during the winter.

Check it out here:Β https://www.indiehackers.com/podcast/150-jen-yip-of-lunch-moneyΒ or via your preferred podcast app and feel free to let me know what you think!

As always, thanks for your support!

Cheers,
Jen
