Issue 15: Bill
Welcome to the fifteenth issue of Everything Is Made Up

Hi there! It’s been a while (again).
This is the fifteenth issue of my newsletter it is dedicated to Bill Evans. I’m continuing the format from the last newsletter, so in case you missed it, here’s how it’ll go:
News (personal and/or what interests me in general news)
What I’ve been watching
What I’ve been listening to
What I’ve been reading
Something that interested me
As always, if you have any suggestions for what you’d like to see more or less of, let me know and if you have any questions, I’d be happy to answer them in the next issue. Think of it like a Q&A session.
Also, check out my Patreon! Memberships start at $1/month and you get a free membership card which looks really cool, I promise.
Okay, enough shilly-shallying. Let’s get it started.
News
This is the first newsletter of the new year but it’s far too late to say happy new year (and I’ve spoken to some of you already). Since my Issue 14, I’ve had my birthday and Christmas and things have been… alright, I guess? Neither the best of times nor the blurst of times. Probably the most annoying thing has been my worsening memory and ability to stay motivated or concentrate which points to my neurodivergence. I’ve been meaning to sign up with a new doctor nearer to me so I will try to do that this year and then perhaps ask them for a referral for an autism assessment. I’m aware of how that’s all going to go (or not) but the fact that I’m struggling more than I ever have makes it serious enough to do something about it. I’ll do my best to fight my corner and not let them bullshit me into backing down.
What I’ve been watching
I’ve watched loads of movie in the past couple of months, mostly starring Denzel Washington. You can see what ones I’ve watched on Letterboxd but my favourite one has to be Training Day. Mind-blowing performance.
Other than that, I’ve watched a few Hallmark movies on YouTube and a really good Italian movie called Trash - La leggenda della piramide magica (or The Castaways in English markets). It’s about anthropomorphic refuse (boxes, cans, bottles etc.) that help a little box go back to the store it belongs in. It was in English and the voice acting was better than I expected, as was the story. It really made me think about life and purpose.
Oh, and I saw Castle in The Sky. Breathtaking.
What I’ve been listening to
I’ve not listened to much in the way of new music. Just the same albums on rotation and ripped Twitch beat streams. Black Milk and Fat Ray put a new album out called Food From the Gods which was really good. Wun Two dropped his annual Snow beattape; also good. Some smooth jazz and video game music too.
What I’ve been reading
I’ve not picked up a book yet this year. Maybe next time.
Something that interested me
From Wikipedia:
In the Manichean religion, Jesus Christ was worshipped as a lunar deity, often being called the King of the Moon, or simply Jesus the Moon.
Well, I’m gonna make like a debt and retire. Thanks for reading and join me next time for more of the same. Any comments or suggestions, get in touch! And if you'd like to help out with my content creation endeavours, check out my Patreon.
