Everything Is Made Up, Issue 11: Mingus
Welcome to the eleventh issue of Everything Is Made Up.

Good morning/afternoon/evening to everyone. This is the eleventh issue of my newsletter. If you missed issues 1-8, you can read them on Substack.
I know it's been a while since I've sent one of these; I'm still blaming the pandemic and mental health. This issue is dedicated to Charles Mingus as he was next on my list. I'm also going to be posting blogs I've written in the previous month at the start of a new month (so today, all of December's). As always, if you have any suggestions for what you’d like to see more or less of, let me know!
Okay, enough tripe. Let’s get cracking.
For The Mind
Sampleface (music blog)
Cultrface (culture blog)
LOGiCFACE (STEM blog - science, tech, engineering, and mathematics)
Playrface (sports blog)
Distant Arcade (gaming blog)
Whew. That's a lot of links. I'll try and cut them down more next time. For The Ears
I've been on a huge k.d. lang since I discovered(?) her work in an old video from the 90s. I was pretty present for 90s music and somehow missed Constant Cravings, which was a huge hit when it came out. Anyway, she's awesome and if you missed her entire career like I did, you should check her out too.Since it's been Christmas, I've also been listening to a lot of Christmas music. Nat King Cole has gone down a treat as always.
The last album I listened to in 2022 was Julia Bullock's Walking in the Dark. She's a soprano from St. Louis, Missouri and her voice is exquisite.
For The Eyes
Imagine Seinfeld but all the characters are animated anthropomorphic animalsWell, I’m gonna make like an egg in a shoe and beat it. Thanks for reading and join me next time for more of the same.
