You don’t need me to tell you it’s 2026 but did you know that means it is 100 years since Marilyn Monroe was born?

There are so many celebrations planned this year from Marilyn Monroe: A Portrait at the National Portrait Gallery in London to Marilyn Monroe: Hollywood Icon at the Academy Museum in LA.

And I will also be celebrating Marilyn in my own way in 2026 with the release of Nobody’s Perfect: The Making of Some Like it Hot (White Owl, August 2026). This has been a truly exciting research experience and I have loved finding out the real story behind the making of this movie and investigating some of the tall tales and outright lies that have made their way into the historical record.

The publishers are gearing up to the launch but gave permission to share the cover with my subscribers. Designed by Paul Wilkinson it is an absolute beauty and honestly made me cry with joy. I do hope you like it!
