This is Lucy Bellwood, your friendly neighborhood Adventure Cartoonist. I’m not gonna bury today’s lede under any descriptive blathering.

OUR BOOK HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED!

I’ve been working on Seacritters! with Kate Milford and our stellar crew of colorists and publishing pros for five whole years and it is beyond surreal that it’ll be hitting shelves on March 16th, 2027.

I made a very goofy cover reveal video at the Santa Barbara Zoo a few weeks ago to mark the occasion. (YouTube link here for those of you who don’t wanna faff about with Instagram.) You can already preorder it through many booksellers and read the first 20 pages for free on my website.

This is far from the last time I’ll holler about preorders, because it turns out in traditional publishing they matter a whole lot. The more copies we sell before the book actually comes out, the more the publisher will throw their weight behind promotion. It’ll also give us a chance at landing on bestseller lists during the launch. Every bit helps!
