🦀 March Scuttlebutt
A monthly roundup of posts from my haunts around the web
Welcome, shipmates, to the very first Scuttlebutt Dispatch
As social media becomes increasingly fraught, there’s a widespread shift in my creative circles: people are cultivating their own personal websites! They’re returning to blogging! They’re starting their own newsletters!
We love to see it, but the seeing of it also remains something of a challenge.
How do we keep tabs on the people we love while moving away from the clutches of Big Social Media? I’m a big fan of using an RSS reader (some good intros to that here and here), but it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. Email remains stalwart for a reason. So: this monthly dispatch will be a quick digest of everything I’ve published to my website and Patreon, freeing me up to keep the main Bottleship space available for the irregular rambly essays and updates you know and love.
Don’t want to receive this monthly roundup of links? No problem. Simply email me and let me know you’d like to opt out of Scuttlebutt. You’ll only receive Bottleships moving forward.
Okay! On with the show.

As with most things I do online these days, this is an experiment. If there are other things you’d like to see included here (Instagram posts? Shop restock notifications? Other updates?) I’m all ears.
Thank you so much for keeping tabs on my work over the years, and for letting this space evolve as the digital landscape changes around us. I hope this makes it a little easier to keep up with my activities.
See you next month!
