In the time it's taken me to get as far as "write newsletter" on my lengthy list of promotional efforts for
my new Kickstarter campaign, the dang thing has
already funded, which means this message is just to let you know that IT'S HAPPENING and you can now get on board for some fun times. (There are still limited tier rewards left for you—I promise.)
If you have no idea what I'm going on about, here's the backstory: every day for the last three months I've been drawing a daily dialogue with the little demon in my life who tells me I'm no good. He's a stinker. He's also kinda sweet. People really took to him (as did I) so I decided to fund a run of books collecting all the comics (which you can read online
here) and a plush demon that you can hang out with in the comfort of your own home—or throw off a cliff. Your call.
I am
over the moon that this thing got funded as fast as it did. I'm really proud of myself for completing 100 consecutive days of this project, and it really meant a lot to see so many people resonate with the work—not to mention throwing their support behind it so whole-heartedly. Also: plush toys are new to me! I'm excited to branch out into a new realm of Making Stuff. (If you're curious about what it takes, I wrote up
a little post on the process so far.)
The books are also going to look real fine. I decided to forego complex stretch goals on the Kickstarter and just get straight to the business, so we're going for fancy right up front.
Sound good? You can preorder all this magical stuff via the Kickstarter page
right here.
If you'd like an art print of a particular demon in the series, never fear: the fine folks of Buyolympia now stock every single one! Pick your favorites
from their shop.
Aaaand finally, if you made it this far, I made a folder of free demon wallpapers for your phone, tablet, or laptop! You can download them
via this post.
Thanks to all of you who spread the word and pitched it to make this new project such a success right out of the gate. I can't wait to see where it goes!

P.S. Heads up: on
July 25th I’ll be talking to the one and only
Jessica Abel about fighting demons of self-doubt, building an audience for your work, and making a living as a creative person. You can register for the live stream event
here. I'll send out another email about a week before so you can all get further details. Yay!
