BIG NEWS! We just launched our Kickstarter campaign for Knapsack Magazine Volume 2: Butter, the second installment of our anthology series, Knapsack Magazine! Check out the Kickstarter page below!:

If you are new to our newsletter and haven’t seen Knapsack Magazine yet, Knapsack Mag is our serialized comics anthology series encapsulating our nostalgia for the late 90s and early 2000s comics, with a different theme for every volume. Our first volume, Cassette, was published last year, had over 20 artists, and was themed around music. For our second volume, we’re going for an even bigger book, with 28+ artists and more illustrations, articles, comics, and some cool extras like a tear out recipe card and foldout poster!!!

Since our book will be bigger than last time, we need all the help we can get to make it happen! It’s our biggest goal we’ve ever set (our hearts are racing..!) Please check it out if you can, and spread to word to friends who might be interested! Our campaign will run for 30 days, and it’s all or nothing!

Volume 2: BUTTER

This entry in the series, titled BUTTER, is informed by what we all love and cannot live without: food. It’s inspired by cutouts of recipes from teen magazines, by the fruits and veggies in farming simulator games, by easy bake ovens, and by the iconic snack mascots of our childhoods. We asked our artists to take the theme of food and run with it, and we’re so excited to show you everything they’ve made!

For the first six days of the campaign, we’re offering an early bird special! On top of whatever reward tier you choose, a mini-print by artist Cyberneko will be included in your reward!

Thank you so much everyone for your support and interest in what we do! We’re really hopeful we can make the goal for this campaign, we’re so nervous and excited! Knapsack Mag is such a labor of love and a project we’ve been working on for a long time now, and we hope we can make it happen and get these books to you all!

A little extra thing:

To commemorate our launch, we wanted to include something special in this newsletter to you guys (our faves in the world). We’ve included a Knapsack themed recipe: Pocket’s Strawberry Matcha Latte! We wanted to make something that looked like the volume’s ink colors of redorange and green, lol. Make this drink when you’re feeling like you need extra luck! ⭐
