Volunteering for the Executive
Hello parents and guardians! We have a few spaces open/opening on the executive of the PAC, and we’re hoping to fill them soon!
Vice-Chair: This position doesn’t require a lot of time, but you’re still super important in case either of the co-chairs aren’t able to complete their work, for whatever reason (the most likely situation being that one or both are sick and can’t make it to a PAC meeting). You are also responsible for voting on the budget and any items that come up through the year. Plus the more ideas we have for ways to spend our budget, the better!
Next year we will need a new Treasurer. Our current treasure, Julie, has been awesome, but as per our bylaws can only hold the position for 3 years. Are you an accountant or otherwise trained in bookkeeping? Then maybe this role is for you! You get to help us spend money, track stipends, and make the Nelson community better every day. You work closely with the co-chairs and are a signatory on the bank accounts.
Lastly, not an executive role, but one that helps build community is the social media rep. You take photos and post them on our Facebook or Instagram pages, and get the word out about how much fun we have at Nelson!
