Rise Up Marketplace is on Hot Lunch

Hello Nelson Families,

I just wanted to remind everyone that we recently added Rise Up Marketplace to our hot-lunch offerings. They’re a local Caribbean-focused marketplace that makes Jamaican Patties with three filling options: lentil, beef, or chicken. They’ve been extremely popular at other elementary schools, but we’ve had very few people at Nelson order them so far. Naturally, we won’t be able to offer them forever without more interest, so I’d encourage you (or rather, your child) to try them now!

If you’d like to check out the marketplace in person, it’s at 704 Vernon Drive in the historic “Vernon Drive Grocery” building.
