Hello Nelson Families,

Our wonderful garden club not only beautifies our school grounds while providing volunteer-driven lessons for our students, they also raise most of their own funds. This year, they are running fundraisers with West Coast Seeds and Klassen Big Bag mulch and soil. You can read below about what they hope to do.

Our main objective for our fundraiser is to raise $600-$800 to support the garden lessons that we offer once a month in fall/winter and twice a month in the spring. Specifically, we want to raise money for the supplies used in these lessons. For example this week we are rolling beeswax candles with the kids. We could use support in purchasing everything from starter plants, to soil enhancement, netting and poles. We also use the money towards our project initiatives. This year we are hoping to plant more native plants in the upper garden area near the old playground.
