MLDF Digital Media Intelligence newsletter
Dear Subscriber
In this edition we look at whether Apple's Newsstand is worth the effort. Certainly a lot of publishers think so--but it may not be for everyone. (First off, you need to check whether the App Store is available in your country. The list is here.)
We're also looking at changes to Google News, and how it offers opportunities for content creators to push themselves up the rankings without a lot of effort. (And for those of you not sure whether Google News does your country/language, the full list of the 70 or so available regions is here. It's pretty comprehensive but if yours is missing, let us know and we'll start lobbying for it to be included.)
This is a mockup, so we've not got any correspondence and feedback, but when we do this is where it will be included. Readers will be able to click on the headline of each piece in the newsletter to see the story on a website, and be able to comment that way. They'll also be do so at the bottom of each article within the newsletter itself.
We should also point out that the choice of topics for this one was arbitrary, based simply on what was available and not too time-consuming to put together. In reality the selection of articles would attempt to better balance the various interests of MDLF clients.
