How to Start (or reinvigorate) a Drawing Practice
A guide to drawing for beginners and those who find themselves stuck
A couple of weeks ago, I wrote a post on creating a beginner drawing kit. So it seemed only appropriate to share some ideas on how to start using this beginner kit. When you are starting out, and sometimes after you have been drawing for a while, it can be intimidating to start drawing. Your work will often not live up to the image in your head and it can be easy to stop.
At times like this we can embrace our beginner nature and keep exploring with the knowledge that our greatest work is still out there. It can also help to take ourselves a little less seriously and get back to some of the basics. Here are three ideas for returning to our beginner nature and lightening up when things feel too heavy.
