Now that you have some colored pencils, markers or pens with a ink besides black it is time to start considering how to use color. Color is a great way to start directing people’s attention and also brings some more playfulness to your drawing. This might be pink shadows, red highlighting on a plant or popping out the space around an object. With color we can start to add dynamism to our drawings and bring out the subjects we want to remember or redirect people’s attention on.
