Recently I was in the Berkeley area for a training, and this seemed like a good opportunity to reflect on using sketching to capture travel experiences. Travel presents some unique challenges for drawing. There is usually a brief time to capture a drawing. You are often in a place you do not know. Plus you typically have a limited set of tools. These are all great opportunities to exercise your creativity to build a drawing kit and schedule to meet these needs.
