Walworth History through Song Friday 18th July 7pm at St Peter's Church
Southwark Pensioners' Centre Local History Group
Diana Cochrane, on behalf of the Walworth Society, invites us to a special event at St Peter’s Church, SE 17 3EQ at 7pm this Friday 18th July. The Walworth Society and St Peters Church are joining together to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Church with an evening of song, piano music and sing-a-long. It will include music played at the consecration of St Peter’s in 1825 as well as old and new songs about Walworth.
It’s a free event but donation of £5 is suggested in support of St Peter’s restoration project. Doors will open at 6pm with a free cuppa. There will be a charge for subsequent drinks including wine.The concert will finish at 8.30pm.
