Southwark Pensioners' Centre Local History Group

On Tuesday 11th March, our good friend Jill Finch will lead us on a “Finding Fitzrovia” walk. She is a Guide in City of London, St Paul’s Cathedral and the Guildhall Art Gallery.

Jill says “What and where is Fitzrovia? Well it's not a borough and it has never been an administrative unit. In some ways it could be called a ‘made up area’ north of Soho - where, between 1925 and 1950, the pubs, clubs, restaurants & cafés were meeting places for writers and artists with a taste for bohemian life. So let’s go and find Fitzrovia and see for ourselves”

We will leave Southwark Pensioners’ Centre at 1.30pm and meet Jill at Warren Street tube station for a 2.30pm start and will finish the walk near Tottenham Court Road tube station.  The charge is £10 per person to be paid on Tuesday.

Looking forward to meeting up with you for our walk.
