The programme is:
30th April “An Update on Southwark’s Archaeology" - Chris Constable, Borough Archaeologist
14th May “Dr Lettsom’s Cottages” - Tristram Sutton, Camberwell Resident and Researcher
28th May “Peckham’s Heritage – Past, Present and Future” Claire Hegarty, Independent Chair, Peckham Heritage Regeneration Partnership
11th June “Why Canonbury in Islington?” – Guided Walk - Anne Tickell, Walk Leader for Friends of City Churches Meet outside Denmark Hill Station at 1.30pm and we will travel to Canonbury by overground. There will be a charge of £10 per head.
25th June “Pictures of Peckham” - Judy Aitken, Curator, Southwark Libraries and Heritage Team
9th July “Books and Bohemians In Bloomsbury”– Guided walk - Jill Finch, Guide in City of London, St Paul’s Cathedral and the Guildhall Art Gallery Leave the Pensioners’ Centre at 1.30pm to meet Jill outside Russell Square tube station at 2.30pm. There will be a charge of £10 per head. Jill enthused us by her virtual tour of Bloomsbury on 12thMarch and we wanted to go in person.
23rd July Guided Tour of the new Salvation Army UK Headquarters building opposite Denmark Hill Station, Champion Park,SE5 8FJ - Major Julie Johnson, Territorial Headquarters Chaplain Meet in the Hope Café on Ground Floor of the new Salvation Army building at 2pm.
