Here is the forthcoming programme on alternate Tuesdays from 17th September to 10th December at 2pm (unless stated otherwise): 17th September “John Donne: Poet and Prelate in the City”Jill Finch, Guide in City of London, St Paul’s Cathedral and the Guildhall Art Gallery
1st October “Walking with Dickens”
Keith Turpin, Camden Tour Guide Association Guide and Walk Leader - Keith will give a presentation, not a guided walk.
15th October Guided Walk in Abney Park Cemetery, Stoke Newington, N16 0LH to see Salvation Army graves amongst others. John Turpin, Author of “The Magnificent Seven”. We will leave Southwark Pensioners’ Centre at 1.30pm.
29th October “I Want to Ride my Bicycle: Cycle Sports in Southwark Then and Now” Patricia Dark, Southwark Archivist
12th November “Lost Victorian City: a London Disappeared” – Exhibition at London Metropolitan Archives, 40, Northampton Road, EC1R 0HB Rachel Barrett, Archives Officer and Curator Our visit is at 2.30pm. We will leave Southwark Pensioners’ Centre at 1.30pm.
26th November “Streatham Village” John W. Brown, Local Historian and Author
