CfP is open for Local-First Conf 2026
A quick reminder that the CFP is open, with the following timeline:
May 1 — CFP closes
May 15 — candidates notified
June 1 — speakers announced
June 15 — schedule announced
That's less time than it might feel like, so if you've been sitting on an idea, now's the time to do something with it.
The process is low-friction: the first step is a short form, a few questions, under five minutes.
We're building most of the programme from submissions this year.
Topics we're most hoping to see:
New Territories — design for agency, AI-assistance for local-first, local and open-weight models
Local-First Maturity — success stories, UX challenges, legal frameworks
The Larger Ecosystem — social media and data ownership, encrypted messaging, malleable software in the age of LLMs, self-sovereign identity, game development with local-first
