Little Thoughts About...February 2026 Reads
After January’s last month’s 12 books, February was a lot slower with 7 books.

A little behind in sending this out, so sorry for anyone who reads these and will be getting February and March this week.
A Cure for Solastalgia by E.M. Linden read by Wil Wheaton - 3 Stars
I liked this story and the way Linden approached people with magic, the signature that they all have. It’s a different take on ecoterrorism, but is it really?
Like in Love with You by Emma R. Alban - 4 Stars
This was an arc from NetGalley, I’ll be sending out a different post with reviews of the few NetGalley books I’ve read the last two months.
Hester by Laurie Lico Albanese - 3.5 Stars
This was one of my book club picks for the month. I’m not always a fan of retellings or alternate tellings of classic novels. I thought the book was okay. The writing was good, and I’ll be reading more by this author.
Accidently Wedded to a Werewolf by Isabelle Taylor - 3 Stars
This was an arc from NetGalley, I’ll be sending out a different post with reviews of the few NetGalley books I’ve read the last two months.
Tea You at the Alter (Tomes and Tea #3) by Rebecca Thorne - 4 Stars
I’m thoroughly enjoying this series. With everything surrounding the wedding, I wasn’t sure where this story was going or how things would play out with all the different factions gathering in this small town. I can’t wait to see what happens next!
Game Misconduct (Penalty Box #1) by Ari Baran - 5 Stars
This series has been recommended by a few people I follow online, so I was like sure I’ll give it a try and then I binged all available books! I love a good enemies-to-lovers romance, and Sato and Garcia really do hate each other, so their evolution to lovers is a fight. Both guys are broken but fit together to help each other heal, and it’s not all roses at the end; there is still much healing and growth to come.
Delay of Game (Penalty Box #2) by Ari Baran - 5 Stars
While reading Game Misconduct, I kept wondering if Nate and Zach were more than just friends (I didn’t look ahead to see who future books were about), so I was delighted to get their story. Again, broken boys who together can help each other heal. With sports romances, I do like the trope of if we keep sleeping together, we’ll keep winning.
