Little Thoughts About ... Issue #25

January 2025 Warp-up

January 2025 Wrap-up from Storygraph
January Recap from The StoryGraph

Fugitive Telemetry by Martha Wells - 5 Stars
Like with past recaps, I just fly through these books, and I’m just loving them. There is one book left in the series, and I’m a little sad but also ready to dive back into these books. I enjoyed the murder investigation of this book and how Murderbot solved it.

Egostical Puckboy by Eden Finley and Saxon James - 4 Stars
I don’t know what I was expecting when I started this book, but I was not expecting to like it as much as I did. There were great descriptions of hockey play. I also really liked the relationship and the connections between the other gay hockey players. I’m going to read more of this series.

A Dish Best Served Hot by Natalie Cana - 3.5 Stars
I read the first book in the series last year and picked up this one after starting a Read Books By/About Puerto Ricans challenge. I wasn’t too sure about these two as a couple; it seemed a little far-fetched all the things that connected them once Lola moved back. But I enjoyed the book and will be reading more of the series. Got to see what the other Vega siblings are up to!

January's Key Word: Time
Same Time Next Year by Tessa Bailey
The story was a little over the top, and I feel like it moved a little fast, but I enjoyed it and it was a cute quick read.

2025 Color Coded Reading Challenge hosted by My Reader Block
Color: Red
Red Sonja: Consumed by Gail Simone
I was never a big Red Sonja fan in the comics, but I love Gail Simone, so I knew I was going to read this novel. It was a good story, but it was a bit slow at times, but it was an enjoyable read.
