A reminder that our first Lunch & Learn of the year is coming up on Friday, February 13. We will be discussing succession planning and best practices for passing the torch. As always, bring any relevant documents, experiences, and ideas to share.

We had a request from a Lire member to push the time back for our April Lunch & Learn to 2:00pm. So, we’re going to try it! For those of you that are interested and available, we will still meet at Chavez Mexican Restaurant at 12:00 for a pre-meeting meal.

LIRE Rockford has the opportunity to partner with Rockford Public Library and RAILS to screen The Librarians on Thursday, April 16th at 5:30pm at the Nordlof Center in Rockford, IL. We are also bringing some amazing speakers to sit on a panel and speak on censorship and library advocacy here in northern Illinois. WE ARE SO EXCITED!
