Intro
How do you get good at something? I mean really good? What does it take? What must you do? In Escalating Streaks Simon Willison shares some ideas from the amazing streak of Tom Scott.
Escalating Streaks
The best way to get really good at anything is to do that thing on a regular basis, thoughtfully, and with the goal of doing it slightly better every time.

Tom Scott, and the formidable power of escalating streaks
Ten years ago yesterday, Tom Scott posted this video to YouTube about “Special Crossings For Horses In Britain”. It was the first in his Things You Might Not Know series, …
Getting Unstuck
I was working on a Eleventy Starter and one bug got me stuck. I've not touched that project for 7 months.
The cure is simple: do something.
Do something because the way to escape stuckness is by taking action. At first, what you do matters little as long as you are not sitting on your hands. Note that trying to think your way out of stuckness also counts as doing nothing. You need movement. You need momentum. Reflection will come later.

Jason Fried On Making
It's more fulfilling to be a part of something that lives and touches people's lives.
To make
I've consulted. I've done client work. I've advised. I've served on boards. I've invested. I've written books. I've spoken on the circuit. I've blogged for years. I have to say, I've found no greater professional joy than working with a tight group of people to ship and support our own products. And for those products to find people wi...
SolidStart - A different JavaScript Metaframework
SolidStart is built from five fundamental pillars:
Solid: the view library that provides rendering abstractions.
Vite (within Vinxi): the bundler to optimize code for execution in different runtimes.
Nitro (within Vinxi): the agnostic web server created by the Nuxt team and based on h3 with Rollup.
Vinxi: the orchestrator, what determines where the runtimes and the code each one has.
Seroval: the data serializer that will bridge data from server to browser and back.
I had never heard of Analog before reading this article. Turns out it is a fullstack meta-framework for building applications and websites with Angular, similar to other meta-frameworks like Next.JS, Nuxt, SvelteKit, Qwik City, and others.

SolidStart: A Different Breed Of Meta-Framework — Smashing Magazine
Are you ready for a little exercise of pulling a framework apart and putting the pieces back together? In this article, Atila Fassina explains how meta-frameworks have evolved around core libraries in their own unique ways.
Introducing Rabbit R1
The R1 reminds me of the Playdate by Panic. The hardware is made by Teenage Engineering, who makes beautiful devices including the EP-133 K.O. II Sampler Composer.
TheVerge has an article on the R1 worth reading. The AI startup plans to reimagine how we use our devices.
Initial thoughts: It looks interesting and promising, more so than the AI Pin from Humane. The price point is genius, I can imagine they're making a loss but judging the pre-orders which is sold out, people seem to want this thing.
The video below is of the Founder and CEO of Rabbit, Jesse Lyu introducing R1. It's 25 Minutes long.
That's it, see you next time.
