Then this
My prior is that Generative AI is going to be of limited utility. So I was not surprised to read in The Register's usual robust style AI tech shows promise writing emails or summarizing meetings. Don't bother with anything more complex. And talking of robust styles Ed Zitron writes long and somewhat profane posts critiquing the business model of GenAI companies.
Always good to read how Data Science is being used, for example to "revolutionise athlete performance".
And I enjoyed this in The Guardian about how data and tech is helping in the fight against the invasive Asian Hornet.
And finally this

This is a list I compile on a weeklyish basis and email to subscribers. I also share the link on Mastodon, Bluesky and LinkedIn. It's a list of data vacancies in nonprofit organisations that have caught my eye. I don't endorse any of the organisations or roles.
Salaries are usually FTE and usually include London weighting if applicable. This list is very UK focused and even for remote jobs you are likely to need the right to work in the UK.
